I was contacted by a great publishing compay to review some of their kids workbooks. Although Haylee will only be 2 next month it is NEVER too early to start teaching her things so I jumped at the chance.

Kumon Publishing has many great things to help your child learn. One of the big item are workbooks that focus on Pre-K through Grade schoolers.

Pre-K kiddos can learn to trace, do mazes, cut and paste, and even do puzzles.

Other items they offer are Tub Time Posters of body parts, the ABC's and even Zoo Animals.



Since we are in the middle of teaching Haylee her colors I thought that My Book of Coloring At The Zoo would be perfect for her. What it does is give kids the chance to complete the missing piece of the page by picking the correct color and also asks kids to use a certain color and go though an animal maze. We tried this tonight and Haylee loved it. This will be a WONDERFUL learning tool in teaching her colors.

Angry/sad day!

So today was an angry/sad day!!!! You know the kind where nothing goes right. I am obsessed with Big Brother. I watch Big Brother After Dark so much that my fiance says he's getting me some help. Well, I stayed up watching them until about 2am and finally went to bed. Wouldn't you know that as soon as my head hit the pillow I hear, Mooooooommmmy. Great. I yell back...."Goo to sleepp little girl." All is quiet for about 10 minutes. "Mooooooommmmmy." Finally back asleep at 5 AM. Well 8:30 AM rolls around and I hear MOOOOOOOMMMY. I look at the clock hoping to see 10 MAYBE 11. And moan, "are you kidding me child" roll out of bed and manage to fix the girl some cherrios and find Playhouse Disney on TV.

Fast Forward to the worst part of the day. Daddy finally rolls his lazy butt outta bed around 10-10:30ish (he was up with her until 5am too) and I'm laying on the couch talking to him. I run the back of my hand across the and my ring snags and something pops. OH NO is the first thing that went through my head. I look down and one of the prongs that hold the diamond on my engagement ring is completely bent.

What makes me so angry about the whole thing is back in May I took the ring up there and showed them that prong and told them it felt loose and looked like it had moved on the diamond a little bit. He felt it and said no it looks fine. Whhhhhatever! Oh well, it's got a lifetime guarantee on it, it'll get fixed for free I'm not TOO concerned about it. I am just sad I'll be without my ring for a week or a little more. Booo!! *insert sad face here*

So that is my angry/sad day story.

Taking this a new direction

I am thinking of taking my Avon in a new direction. I am thinking about starting parting. We had our monthly sales meetings tonight and one of our Presidents Club members gave a presentation telling us about her successes with parties and how it thrust her into presidents club.

She gave us a bunch of tips on how to successfully run them in order to make a profit and how to successfully turn one party into two and even three. Hopefully this is something that will really help my business.

86 degrees and rising

Where the heck did the nice weather go? It is so hot today. It's currently 86* and is hot hot hot!

I just go to thinking today. I need to start on Haylee's birthday invitations. She'll be two next month. I can't believe my little one is turning 2! It seems like I just had her.

I haven't even really thought about her birthday except that we are doing a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. That is her favorite show.

The other day at Wal-Mart I found what we are going to get her. It's a set of things for her baby doll. It comes with a stroller and a car seat that snaps into the stroller. A swing, a high chair, a diaper bag and a changing pad. She will love it! She takes her baby with her everywhere and loves to try to feed it her food.

Looks like I'll be working on invites tonight.

Beautiful outside

Well, Mother Nature read my post about being tired of summer, and she did something about it! These past three days have been absolutely beautiful! As I'm typing right now, I am sitting on my porch watching my little one run around in our yard, playing with all her toys. It is gorgeous outside, only 71*!!! If it were to stay like this all year long I'd be completely content.





Jon and I are almost to the one year mark for our wedding. In 19 days it will be 1 year and that day I will be booking the hall. It's so exciting, yet I'm scared at the same time. I am no second thoughts about marrying him, (most of the time! haha) we've been together for almost 4 years, and have lived together all but one month of those years so nothing drastic will change. But becoming someones WIFE is a scary thought.

On Thursday I went and got all my wedding stuff from my aunts house and since he hadn't seen any of it yet we went through it. Looking at it with him makes it so real, that in a little over a year, we will be married!

Ok, enough babbling from me. I have a question. If you are married, what is you most memorable moment from your wedding? If you aren't, what is your dream wedding like?

Is fall here yet?

Oh I am SO tired of summer. It's too hot and our house is impossible to keep cool. We live in a tin can that just collects the heat and makes me miserable. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love what I call "hoodie weather". Where all you need to wear is a hooded sweatshirt and jeans and you are good to go.

I love the colors of the leaves, I love scarecrows, I love pumpkins, I love decorating my house in all the fall items. I love the smell of cinnamon apples, pumpkin spice, and all that other "fally" stuff. I want Halloween to come & Thanksgiving! Oh man, I'm ready for turkey dinner!

Well that just made me really sad! lol I can't believe how much she has grown. It seems like just yesterday I was taking those pictures. Now she has so much more hair and a lot more than just 6 teeth! And that outfit, I bet that shirt wouldn't fit on one of her arms anymore. It's it crazy how fast kids grow. You blink and the go from newborns to almost two year olds.

Back to my original reason for post. Fall, where are you?! Come quick!
